Finding Our Places

People are looking for places. They are looking for "community;" a group of people with whom they can be authentic and into which they can fit. Some never find places, so they wander aimlessly and never settle anywhere.

Our places are where we meet God. When we ask, What is our place? We are asking about our work in life and the people we will live and work with. God sometimes calls us to move to a different place and a different work.

Maybe God is calling you to leave places. We should remember, though, there is no perfect place this side of glory.

Our obedience to God involves not just ideas, but actions too. God is everywhere. But, he reveals himself to us and works through us in specific places.

In our places, we learn more about God, and we find ways to serve people. Finding these places is not always easy, but God can lead us even when we do not see clearly the road up ahead.

We should know our places are where we are right now, too. Look around. Do you see a ministry opportunity? Look no further. Move into that place. And meet God. If you do, you will come much closer to finding that perfect place.
